Here is my elevator pitch. As with other students it was difficult to find a place to prop up my laptop.
The opportunity I found was a way to increase the pace in which golfers play the game. It's a new piece of technology called a Golf Board that just hit the market and there are very few courses utilizing this new gear. My plan would be to become a distributor to local courses. So instead of inventing or creating something new, I would be taking advantage of an opportunity based on a need of locals and filling that need with an already existing product that they don't have access to.
Great job Christopher! Many entrepreneurial ventures stem from existing opportunities rather than entirely new ideas or inventions so it's great that you capitalized on an existing opportunity. Elevator pitches are really hard to master. Luckily, this is an exercise we will be practicing more throughout the semester so you can master the pitch. I liked how your pitch discussed the problem and then the solution. For future reference, perhaps infuse more passion into pitches, dress up in business professional or business casual attire or dress the part. Definitely check out the "How To: Elevator Pitch Demonstrations" video under the "Start Here" Module, as well, as that was extremely enlightening and helpful to mastering the art of elevator pitches. Keep up the good work.

Hi Christopher,
ReplyDeleteThe elevator pitch you have is great, the product you think of is interesting. My elevator pitch was short but about different kind genre of product. The product I was thinking of was something along the line food industry. Here is the link to my elevator pitch, http://jzent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html. Check it out if you have time!
Hey Christopher,
ReplyDeleteFirst of, great job making this elevator pitch. I had the same trouble of finding a good place that looked professional enough and was compatible to hold my laptop. I liked how you took a different approach and instead of creating a new product you are simply making an already created product more accessible. I think that is genius. If interested here is a link to my pitch: http://kevinleddysblog.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
Hey Chris,
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as someone who doesn't have any experience in golf, I didn't get a great understanding of what the product is from your pitch. I think the idea of distributing an up and coming product is a good one however, and ultimately you did a good job selling the product. I would just dress nicer next time.
